Clear Digital (formerly known as WebEnertia) hosts a blog on their website featuring a wide range of topics written by their leadership and teams. The aim is to provide an 'insightful' perspective from a well-established Bay Area B2B Web Agency through their articles and imagery. During my time as a former designer on their team, I was responsible for a significant portion of the creative and production work related to the Insight Blogs. I designed various banners and graphics, adhering to the branding guidelines pre- and post-rebrand, and formatted the article text to ensure it flowed seamlessly on the page.
Previous Style
Before the rebrand, Clear Digital had a vibrant and straightforward style. When I created the hero banners during this time, they typically alternated among one of five colors, featured a 3D colorized image, and included a bold, simplified title layered with other elements. The body graphics often incorporated outlined circles, icons, and dashed line strokes.
Current Style
After the release of the new brand, Clear Digital simplified their color palette to pink, black, white, and grey. The new style also became more playful with hints of brushstrokes and a 'handwritten' effect. The new hero banners emphasize the 'C' in the Clear Digital logo, with either an image cut-out or overlay. As a result, the imagery is slightly more abstract, and there is less strict adherence to the color palette for the hero images.
